well, the game can be repetitive, but the real draw is that everything is made by you, the cell, the creature, the outfit, the buildings, the vehicles, teh starships, etc. so if you one of those people that only think a game is good if there is 18 dead bodies on teh ground at all times, dont get it. if you like creativity and have said at some point "man, i wish i could change this" or "this ____ would go great in this game" then get it.

Evolution itself is undeniably true. Whatever religious beliefs you have, you can't deny things are evolving, the solid evidence is everywhere. But saying that, there are still lose ends. Traced back to the beginning of life, there's so many questions without answers that if you are religious, could be filled 'spiritually'. Its a dimension we have no clue about.

Also the planet rendering quality was more realistic. The game was a lot deeper, EA gave us a shallow version of the game we were hoping for. For example during the civ stage, the game used to have a individual city game, with streets and roads like sim city 4. And there used to be farms...

The older concept was what really made me buy the game. Now it is all cartoon-like, mis-proportionate and un-realistic. In the old version the trees were in propertion to the cities and the cities were much bigger. But now the trees dominate the cities which are the size of villages. I know they are alien worlds and not meant to be real but it would be more attractive if everything seemed... correct.

You don't play online. Whenever it says that a creature was made by another person, it is just a copy of their creature that is run by AI, you aren't actually interacting with anyone.

this trailer is based on an earlier version of spore which is shown on a bunch of videos made by incursus41. they got rid of the bit where you go underwater and make submarines. also if you are playing the new version of spore and you are in the creature stage DO NOT go into the water. if you go too far you get eaten by a sea monster.

Dude, wtf? i mean really? Heres my review Cell: Swim around in a tiny fish and eat numnums. Creature: Go around, socialize or eat, or RUN AWAY! Tribal: Sing to ppl, or axe them, hunt, use stuff Civilization: Use nukes, blow stuff up, convert people, creat stuff Space: Build your colonies, meet new races, expand your empire, use tools, blow stuff up, make allies, make UFOs, trade (:D). its a terrible game! Cell: kind of fun but too short to actually use any of the upgrades so there's not much point. Creature: Click on enemies. Move to next nest. Click on enemies. Move to next nest. Repeat until tribal phase. Tribal: You have to be an aggressive tribe or the other tribes will easily destroy you straight away. It was way too short to actually get immersed in the game. Tribe upgrades: useless. Civ: Generic RTS gameplay for half an hour. Space: Collect spice. Kill pirates.

Im 15 and I like it. They are planning on adding the water phase and water cities. Space is fun. The only phase I see expansions for are civ and creature. In creature they should make it so you can breathe fire and explore the ocean. Civ should get armies.

I know its called spore, I've got it. I was hyped about it since the 2005 demo. When I finally got it after endless delays, it turned out to be a dumbed down game for 5 year olds. The reason I'm annoyed with this expansion pack is becuase I was expecting they would make the boring and repetitive game play more fun. Honestly, I doubt anybody over 10 will actually have fun with this ruined game.

It is rated wrongly I think! I am 11 and I got this game for my birthday, my parents let me try it to see if it is ok for me to have it, and there is nothing wrong with it! Only that you can kill creatures or destoy cities/tribes, and you can always avoid doing that by being friendly. My 5-year-old sister is starting to create creatures and play around with them, and she gets on fine!

I think that the iPod/iPod Touch/iPhone versions of Spore are seriously lacking gameplay-wise. I mean it's only the first section of the game, for heaven's sake! Anyone who has Spore on the PC (which is amazing) and is expecting something similair is going to be seriously dissapointed.

this game is very inventive and fun - but unfortuanetly the game lags like hell in the story and the graphics at time can be horrific, also it sometimes randomly freezes, forcing me to turn off my laptop Fun factor - 8/10 Graphics - 5/10 Reliabitlity - 3/10 i would reccomend it, maybe its my computer but the forums say differnt : \
