thanks, the post enabled me to reflect on some things that we as psych workers tend to do: impose our techniques on involuntary participants. This rhythm stuff is definately psych work that may not work well in an audience in which a participant is externalizing alot of unreflected aggression.

If you watch a different talk he gave, or it might be one of the audio only ones at w w w . b s w a . o r g, he tells the story about the farmer collecting shit instead of collecting the eggs. I suppose sometimes there is a need to swear to get a point across, emphasising the unpleasant nature of pooh instead of using a funny word, which would mask the point of the story.
