I was depressed just last year. But only for like 1 month. If any of you are deppressed right now, please, do not dress gothic or emo. It will only cut you down more and make everyone dislike you for prejiduce reasons. And no, I was never emo or goth! :-)

Hey ppl, I know how it feels, yes indeed depression ruins a lot of your life but not everything. I know it's said a lot but try to work out or study or whatever to keep your mind busy, it can help. Yea I feel like shit too, everyday but that doesn't mean everything is lost. Don't give up man.

Hi ardaatalay10 Only you yourself can paste the label 'depressed' on yourself, you see it is a way of thinking. As for me, I'm very depressed and neurotic at the moment, but no that doesn't affect my academic skills and results. Not to brag, but I'm getting the highest grades of everyone, I have a decent social life but my mental situation is really bad. It doesn't have to be contradictory because studying hard and being with friends is a very good distraction (or remedy) for your depression.

unfortunately here in Canada Prozac is the only LEGAL anti-depressant for people 18 and under
